KIM K'S CREEPY 'SANTA BABY' VID IS KIND OF COOL

art

Kim K drops 'Santa Baby,' a surreal Christmas prayer featuring a bunch of freaks, a Tommy Ca$h doppelgänger (maybe it's actually him?), a girl in a fish tank, ruffians hoovering up cash and cocaine, and Macaulay Culkin as Saint Nick the auteur.

Kim K produced the song "Santa Baby" with her brother-in-law, Travis Barker, and shared the eerie yet intriguing video. The vid, shot by British multimedia artists Nadia Lee Cohen and Charlie Denis, showcases Kim as a slutty blonde slithering through a weirdo-infested Warholian-like X-mas wormhole. This seamlessly shot, glitched-out panorama is the perfect metaphor for 2024 Fourth Turning dynamics: civilizational decline, art angst, the wreckage accomplished under the idiot class over the last few years, and cultural renewal.

Artistically speaking, however, this is a hot shot of rakia into a rather shriveled up art world. Everything undulates as the modern-day Marilyn Monroe squirms merrily around a drug-addled shindig lensed by Macaulay Culkin dressed as the bad santa. The vibe is strange, hot, and dark, even for a Kardashian.

We love the glitchy frames and the vintage graphic aesthetic. Nadia Lee Cohen delivers an astute, gaudy sense of color, and a way with moving image that's pretty darn cool. This film is four minutes that vibrates with sexual inuendo, decadence, X-mas spirit, and something prophetic. Watch it here.
