NYC ART EXHIBITIONS FALL 2024

As the tide changes in NYC, the Armory Show's 30th edition takes center stage at the Javits Center from Sept. 6th to 8th. The art scene is buzzing, with everything from high-profile solo shows to hidden gems scattered around the city. It’s inspiring. Major players like PACE, Petzel Gallery and Hauser & Wirth are all showcasing bold works that promise to uplift and excite.

Chelsea galleries are offering a thrilling lineup, featuring feminist icon Nan Goldin at Gagosian, Light and Space movement veteran Doug Wheeler at David Zwirner, and Mary Corse, who returns with her first solo exhibit in NYC since 2019, at Pace Gallery’s 540 West 25th Street location. Hauser & Wirth presents a deep dive into Philip Guston’s printmaking. Other notable highlights include David Salle's AI-integrated creations at Gladstone Gallery, Steve McQueen’s new work alongside his 2022 video piece ‘Sunshine State’ at Dia Chelsea, and Pieter Schoolwerth’s psycho-visual mix of painting, sculpture, and film at Petzel Gallery.

Over on the Lower East Side, don’t miss Laurie Simmons' ‘Deep Photos / In the Beginning’ at 56 Henry and Oli Epp's solo show at Perrotin. Hop over to Tribeca and catch Taylor White’s NYC solo debut at The Hole, Robert F. Williams’ dynamic female figures at PPOW Gallery, and Richard Tuttle’s vibrant work at Arnie Glimcher’s 125 Newbury.
